A high productivity level is important for a company’s success. The higher the productivity and quality level a company has the more successful a company is. That is the main reason why productivity levels need to be kept high and in order to do so companies must employ all the resources they can afford to get an edge on the market. These methods may include modernization and expansion. One method of increasing productivity rates is that of productivity training.

Productivity Training is a method that directly addresses the individuals and employees of the company. Productivity Training may be training for a new product or software or training for updates on the current processes performed by employees. No matter what type of Productivity training it is, one thing is sure, it is conducted to increase the productivity levels of the company in question. There are different reasons why companies conduct productivity training, it could be because a company wishes to improve or perhaps it is an attempt to patch any shortcomings in productivity levels.

There are two basic types of productivity training and one of these is the preventive and improvement productivity training. This means that the productivity training is conducted to improve already positive productivity levels and to prevent future drops in it. This is the most ideal type of productivity training since there is no pressure or need to compensate for company losses because there is none.

A company that implements preventive productivity training is one that is currently financially secure. Preventive and Improvement Productivity training is not implemented to correct a fault but instead it is given to improve what is already productive. The other type of productivity training is one that is administered to correct a fault. It is referred to as Curative Productivity Training.

Curative Productivity training is often a result of poor Productivity levels. It is given to employees so that they can be trained to handle the current productivity issue and to not aggravate the current situation. Only companies that do not perform regular Productivity Measurements and those that skimp on regular productivity trainings have to resort to Curative and Patch-Up Productivity Training. If a company does understand the reasons for conducting Curative Productivity Training, they should then learn to conduct constant update trainings to avoid a repeat of past events.

The medical analogy “Prevention is better than Cure” also goes for Productivity Development. It is always much better for companies to makes sure that their employees are highly competent and productive. Risks should not be taken especially with the overall welfare of a company is at stake. It should be understood that company profit and revenue aren’t the only ones at point here. Hypothetically, if a company with a low competency and productivity rate is one that is responsible for the rice and wheat supply of the entire world, their loss in productivity would not only affect them but that of the entire world. It may be an extreme example, but it gets the point through: Prevention is better than cure.
